cyberSEALs is a site that has grown out of the growing friendships I have made with the real SEALs. In 1999 I was asked to take over maintenance of 4 pages of names dubbed the "Wall of Shame". After about 6 months we lost our hosting company and had to search for a new place to host. Knowing that every time we moved the site to a free place we would have people that could not find us, the decision was made to register a domain. cyberSEALs was a name that several SEALs liked, but cyberSEALs.com was already taken (you can get rubber stamps and O rings there) In any case, cyberseals.org was born. There was only the Wall of Shame, several memorials and some links. Dealing the the phonies grew and it was a very negative experience. It was then I decided to try to do more for the REAL operators, so the site began to grow with links and more memorials. Before long I was also administering a Private Mailing List for SEALs only along with a discussion Board and a Chat Room. All these things are provided to the SEALs free of charge and they have been faithful friends to me. They have supported me through some tough times and encouraged me when things have looked bleak. I hope through this site some of you might get a glimpse into quality of men that make up the ranks of SEALs - and hopefully offset the negative impression left by the legions of phonies and bad movies
